Öljyä meressä Porvoon satamassa

Nesteen Porvoon jalostamon satamassa havaittiin 13.3.2021 n. 15.00 satamassa olevan aluksen välittömässä läheisyydessä öljykalvoa vedessä. Itä-Uudenmaan pelastuslaitos, Rajavartiolaitos, Nesteen teollisuuspalokunta ja sataman henkilökunta käynnistivät torjuntatoimet välittömästi. Vuoto on lakannut ja sen lähdettä paikannetaan. Tilanne on hallinnassa.

Oil detected in seawater off the Porvoo refinery

At the Neste Porvoo refinery in the harbour on 13 March 2021 at around 3 p.m. traces of oil was detected in seawater in the immediate vicinity of a ship in the port. The Rescue Services of Eastern Uusimaa, the Finnish Border Guard, Neste’s fire brigade and the harbour personnel started response procedures immediately. The leak has stopped, and its origin is under investigation. Situation is under control.
