Rikkilaitoshäiriö Nesteen Porvoon jalostamolla

Neste, Porvoo 14.1.2020 n. klo 12.05. Rikkilaitoshäiriö Porvoon jalostamolla. Tilanne voi aiheuttaa lisääntynyttä soihdutusta, melua ja hajuhaittaa.  

Turvajärjestelmä ajoi laitoksessa käsitellyn rikkivedyn soihdutukseen, jossa palamisen seurauksena syntynyt rikkidioksidi saattaa aiheuttaa myös hajuhaittaa (sekä ärsytystä suussa ja hengityselimissä, jolloin suosittelemme siirtymään sisätiloihin). Pelastus- ja ympäristöviranomaiset on informoitu. Häiriön syy on selvinnyt ja laitosten käynnistys on menossa.

Incident affecting the sulfur units at the Porvoo refinery 

Neste, Porvoo 14.1.2020 at 12.05. An incident at the refinery’s sulfur units. The incident can cause increased flaring, noise and odours. 

When triggered, the safety system flares hydrogen sulfide and the sulfur dioxide released into the atmosphere can cause also odors (and possibly irritation in mouth and breathing. In that case, we recommend to go inside). The authorities have been informed. The cause of the incident has been resolved and we are normalizing the operations.
